Who we are
We are a collection of concerned Americans who believe that AI is the most urgent issue facing our country and the world. With increasingly dire warnings coming from the developers of the technology itself, we are no longer willing to sit by and watch as tech CEOs “gamble with our lives”.
By showing our representatives that this is a key issue to many of us, we want to secure a worldwide pause on advanced AI. Most people don’t want any of this, and it’s time to let that be clear.
We seek to support any people throughout our country that want to get involved in the fight to stop the AI arms race.

We condemn all violence, and believe that the right way to shape policy is through the democratic process.
Nonpartisan
We don't advocate for any political party, and we don't comment as an organization about any political issues that aren't AI.
Open to everyone working for a pause
Whatever your political values, wherever you come from, and whether or not we see eye to eye on most things, we will support any advocacy for a pause coming from anywhere.
No money from big corporations or AI company employees
To make sure that we aren't unduly influenced in our advocacy by corporate or pro-AI interests, we take no money from big corporations or AI company employees.
